It is up to you what belief system you choose to study.

For this assignment I would like you to first explore possible belief systems. The Quad provides a study starter for world religions, and I want you to take a close look at it. Go through each of the belief systems and determine which one you would be most interested in studying further:
https://thebestschools.org/magazine/world-religions-study-starters/Links to an external site.
You don’t need to choose one of these. You may study another belief system that is not registered in The Quad. It is up to you what belief system you choose to study. Keep in mind that it is best to research a belief system that you do not know about. It will be much easier to write a research paper about a belief system that you do not practice than one that you practice.
Write a 500 word proposal, double spaced that explains what belief system you will research, why you are using this specific belief system, and what sources you will use. Delineate an outline to discuss the origins and development of this belief system, who are its practitioners, what issues the belief system faces, and how it fits into this class. Carry out a literature review of each of the academic sources that you will be using for this assignment.
Sources: You need to provide at least five sources, four of which must be academic, that is, research on belief systems written in academic books or in peer reviewed journal articles. This is library work and you must make sure to go to our library and ask the librarian to help you using the library’s research tools if you’re unfamiliar with them. You may use your last non-academic sources to cite from a practitioner source, for instance the Koran, the Talmud, the Bible, etc. depending on the belief system that you are writing about. Websites that do not fit into any of these two categories are not appropriate sources for this assignment.

It is up to you to think of two different subjects to investigate.

This is your First publish Submission for Peer Review. You must submit a complete term paper according to the directions below. Two of your fellow students will read it and provide anonymous feedback to you. The goal is for them to tell you whether or not your paper meets the requirements of the assignment and how to fix it if it does not. They should also advise you if they believe that you have committed an act of academic dishonesty before your instructor reads your final submission and gives you a zero for the assignment.
Your Assignment:
First, explain how adaptation works. Using your own words and the correct vocabulary from the course, explain how populations adapt to their environments. This section does not require references.
Then, go to the Las Positas College Library website (Links to an external site.) and use Academic Search Ultimate to find two different peer-reviewed articles about two different examples of adaptation. You must read and summarize each of these articles thoroughly in your own words.
It is up to you to think of two different subjects to investigate. You could decide to look into how penguins became flightless, or how whales adapted to the sea. You may prefer to research something more recent, like lactase persistence in some human populations, or the relatively recent emergence of carnivorous polar bears from omnivorous brown bears. You can brainstorm and look for ideas using Google but your references must come from Academic Search Ultimate. No other sources will be accepted.
Your summary must use correct vocabulary from the class and explain the selective pressures involved in each example.
You must use APA format to introduce and discuss your articles, and to list them at the end of your essay.
Learning APA format is your responsibility.

– definitions of concepts used with sources

Hello,
This paper is for a 4th year undergrad Economic Anthropology class. The subject is “the biography of things”.
I want this paper written in english, but I will translate it myself to French. As such I do not care about the formatting, or perfect grammar. I don’t care if the essay is polished, I care about the research and arguments. I can write the filling.
I have most of the ideas, I’m just too tired to organize them myself.
The case study is the painting of the man with the golden helmet, specifically this extract 36:17 to 43:55 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPznJlyjjwc
It must have :
– an introduction with either a question or a hypothesis
– definitions of concepts used with sources
– arguments with sources (can be the same sources as concepts) comparing the case study to said authors
– conclusion
Two authors absolutely have to be mentionned : Kopytoff and Appadurai.
I was thinking of a question about Appadurai’s terminal commodity concept, but it’s up to you, you don’t have to follow that idea.
