Reasons Data Might be low quality
Information systems could be low-quality because of the cost and materials used. If a company is on a tight budget and in a rush, one might cut some corners with the process of making the systems. (Mastrian and McGonigle, 2021, pp.25) Another thing to remember when talking about information systems is that no matter what, there is always a human element, which means room for human error, whether in the process of creating the information system—or helping to manage the information going into the system. Every information system has a human component to it. These components are called a chief information officer or a chief technical officer. (Mastrian and McGonigle, 2021, pp.25) While information systems are a big help, they can also be a hindrance because, like everything else, there could be an error, or the system could break down, which could cause a significant problem with patient care. Interoperability is the ability of systems and organizations to work together to exchange information.
